But..what if you liked the movie AND you like the comics? It doesn't matter if you discovered them before or after, that doesn't make you less of a fan IMO. What DOES is just lying about it. If you liked the movie that much to talk to other fans about it, wouldn't you want to read the comics anyway?

Granted, some are written terribly. But if you were less afraid of what people thought, you could ask for recs, and then you wouldn't have to be a poser anymore.

Personally I think the elitism in fandom is stupid as crap and if people are going to judge you for something silly like that, why would you want to be friends with them anyway?
