Is this an actual screencap from the show? Because if it is... I'm not sure why people would be jumping all over fans who make her 'too pale' in fanart. (And there's a difference between getting angry over someone drawing with a shade you wouldn't choose, and making her blond/white when she's clearly not blond.)

She's Katara and Aang's kid, right? (Asking because I don't follow the show.) So her skin could be lighter than Katara's due to Aang's much paler skin tone. People of mixed parentage don't have one set skin palette to go off of... They could be as light as their lighter-skinned parent or as dark as their darker-skinned parent...

She's not Aang and Katara's kid, she's just a random Southern Water Tribe girl who happens to be the Avatar. This is one of their kids, though. :)

Ah, okay. Like I said, I've seen some of A:TLA but I didn't see the end nor do I follow LoK.

Nah, she's not Katara and Aang's kid. But Tenzin is (Loracarol posted a pic of him above). She's from a random family, and just being trained by him.

Also; yeah it looks like a screencap from the show, but she does have a darker skintone than most of the other regular characters. In some scenes/situations, lighting does make a difference, and you don't have much to go on without a clear comparison here since you don't keep up with the show, but it's still pretty easy to tell for those that do.

This secret is not about colorism in LoK, and just to debunk your desperate attempt to start wank, Korra isn't even the daughter of Katara and Aang.

I wasn't attempting to start wank, I had just never seen a screencap from the show that showed her so pale, and was curious as to why if it was a real screenshot, there was so much wank over people "making" her too pale skinned in fanart, when if during sunlight/bright light scenes she may appear lighter skinned than during night/dark lit scenes.

And yes, someone else informed me of that, it was an incorrect assumption on my part, because Katara and Aang were part of the main cast of A:TLA and I had assumed LoK was a second gen show.

To be honest that was my first reaction to the screencap in this secret as well. I've seen a lot of other caps of her where her skin looks a lot darker, but here she's so pale that I couldn't help but think that if it was fanart the artist would catch hell.

Man... I REALLY like her hair... *steals* Too bad my hair misbehaves too much when it's long, and I'm too lazy to fight with it. XD

And wow, that's a really big tone difference with regards to her skin...

yeah iirc the scene in the secret is in broad daylight so the sun washed out everybody.

Are you kidding? That is a photo of a projection on a wall in a dark room. That's no more right than you say OPs pic is. If you're going to go with anything use the character art from the webpage as a midtone and shade/highlight according to the situation.

I picked it because it was a concept image. the light corrected version (http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/26200000/Legend-of-Korra-avatar-the-legend-of-korra-26292870-1280-914.jpg) would have been better, but I didn't look that far in google images. You can calm down now.
