Again we see how fans will go to any lengths to avoid imagining sex in which a participant has helmet hair.

I love how the hair always comes up in relation to the helmet secrets.

Mmmmmm~ Maybe it's just that I'm a near life-long horseback rider, but helmet hair doesn't bother me at all. :D

What's wrong with the helmet outside of sex? I think it's sexy in all of its over-the-top, campy glory.

That helmet looks so heavy, I think he'd break his neck or something if he tried to keep it on during sex. Unless I guess he was being very still. It also looks like you could easily knock yourself out by accident if you had sex with him with it on.

Not if he were on his back (see: that scene on the Bifröst in Thor, when he's got Mjolnir pinning him down) - clearly...clearly I've thought this through. Ahem. The idea of someone knocking themselves out on the helmet during sex is killing me, though.

Super god strength neck muscles? Plus he seems pretty... graceful, he'd just happen to be doing everything that avoids catching/hitting it on things/body parts (except on purpose, haha).

When Thor came out Tom said he thinks Loki went mad because his brain fried underneath it. And apparently it is very heavy. I think sex would be...awkward.

All I can think of is the gifs from tumblr of the joke Tom made. XD

I'm not into Loki like that either way, but I think the helmet is awesome just for the camp/ridiculous factor.

I think his helmet is silly, but it's perfectly in line with the style of helmets on Asgard. Other guards/warriors are wearing similar horned helmets in Thor.

It's... less silly than the original comics version at least?

heeeee omg I'm sorry but yesterday I came across this thing on tumblr where every Avengers character's poster was captioned with what the OP's mom said when asked to identify them (Iron Man: "Sexy. That's his power. He shoots sexy beams." Nick Fury: "SAMUEL L JACKSON IS IN THIS MOVIE??!!!" Hulk: "I know that one! It's the Hulk!") and Loki was wearing the helmet in his poster and it just said "Rhinoceros beetle." XDDDDDD (THE COOLEST OF STORIES, BRO)

anyway. I am consistently impressed with how not-ridiculous he manages to make it look. I remember that thing from the comics and back before Thor hit theatres, I was like LOL I WONDER IF THEY'LL BUST OUT LOKI'S HELMET figuring no fuckin' way. But they did and Hiddleston truly classes up that bitch to the point where he sometimes seems small and naked without it

His helmet is fabulous, esp. when it's covering his jank The Avengers hair. Thor's helmet sucks though; I'm glad he never wears it.

Just as long as you don't want him to use it on anyone. That's one way to get an unintended hysterectomy or bowel removal...and just generally die.
