Yeah, she should totally have chosen from the plethora of short, fat characters available in video games who aren't presented entirely as jokes. Oh, wait.

It's cool if you're not into sexytime RP, but holy hell is it messed up to expect someone to only want to RP characters who look like them when no such characters exist.

I'm guessing it's the ridiculousness of the choice of character compounded with the ridiculousness of wanting to have sex while pretending to be a cartoon at all.

I just find the idea that the choice of character is "ridiculous" in any sense to be messed up. Like I said, nothing wrong with finding the whole idea of RPing as fictional characters during sex weird, but I mean, can you think of any short, fat female characters in video games? I'm just not sure what character OP's girlfriend could have wanted to play that wouldn't have been "ridiculous."

Eh, maybe I'm just bitter at years of having to be a pumpkin for halloween because that's the only costume I "looked right" for.

Id say the ridiculous part is where the pretend character is something drastically different. some people would think a very fit attractive man wanting to be a kawaii lolita is ridiculous. its not that the man is unattractive normally its that what hes pretending to be is hard to mentally reconcile with who and what he usually is

the op says s/he loves the girlfriend for who she IS/how she DOES look so...

The thing is, there are no characters who aren't drastically physically different from the OP's girlfriend's usual looks. The difference is that there is no character she could have chosen to play without being "ridiculous." Whether or not the OP intended it, there's an implication that people whose looks aren't represented in media are inherently ridiculous for wanting sexual RP, because they do not and cannot look the part.

omg that's so true and sad. I legit think that he doesn't find her attractive enough and respects her enough. If my boyfriend posted a secret on fandom secrets about me, putting my kink in public and open to mockery, and posted my fucking WEIGHT as the main reason he didn't want to do it? He could go FUCK himself.

You too OP. She deserves better.

That seems more typical, to me. RP is a lot about pretending to be someone else, so most people want to be something very different than their typical persona.

what? are we reading the same secret?

that's not what the op said at all. or are you being deliberately obtuse?

reading comprehension FAIL.
