Ugh. And another thing: some guys really just have a simple hopeful crush on one of their friends, yet these kinds of dickwads can make someone really paranoid of all demonstrations of niceness if they have experience with one of them, because it's so hard to figure out who are Nice Guys (or Girls too -- I know one personally :\) and who are just guys who are nice. It's enough to make you want to only date jerks because at least there you're more sure that if they're hiding something, it's only more jerkiness.

She was actually a lot like the above cartoon -- very sneakily trying to always "be there" and do sweet things for and emotionally manipulate a certain guy to show that she liked him. And was more "I deserve him because I'm hot and popular and I like him!" Because you know, clearly no guy would ever refuse a hot girl who's into him unless he's purposely being spiteful.

I'm kind of having my mind blown at the possibility of Nice Girl Syndrome being a thing, too. I mean, I guess it follows that this isn't limited to just gents, but still, for some reason I'm severely bothered by this new prospect.
