Personally, I'm not flailing with excitement but I do plan on watching it. I like CBS as it airs the only American TV shows I watch which are currently running. As a fan of Sherlock Holmes in general, I ask only three things: A) that the mysteries be weird and interesting; B) that Watson not be an idiot as s/he is in so many other adaptations; and C) that Holmes and Watson never even sort of get together. In my head, Holmes is one of those fictional characters who is not meant for romantic/sexual relationships. He is completely disinterested in that and I have loved him for it since I first read the stories in middle school. Plus platonic man/woman relationships are few and far between and I love 'em.
