Lately I am addicted to crossovers. So tell me, people of F!S, what's the best crossover fic you've read recently?

Ooh, crossovers! My favorite. I will gank two off my rec list on my fic-blog. They're both pretty long (over 25K in both cases, IIRC), but that's part of the draw, I feel. :)

What's Awesome About It: I know what you're thinking, but this is one of the LotR fics that really respects the lore. Instead of Sueing it up, Methos helps Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli (very much in-character Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli) solve a mystery. A really interesting mystery. Also, being Methos, he makes beer.

It's a cross-over with Harry Potter, where the Dursleys move to Japan and Harry is finally in good hands. It's every bit as feel-good-humanity-is-nice as the anime was. And it's complete.

I am a huge, HUGE fan of two types of crossovers:

Loveless!AUs (whereby characters from one fandom are put in the Loveless world; Loveless characters optional and usually not present)
daemon!AUs (whereby characters from one fandom are given daemons as in His Dark Materials; HDM characters optional and usually not present)

Haven't read any good ones lately, and I don't even have the links for them wtf, but my favorite Loveless!AU is with Prince of Tennis, and my favorite daemon!AU is with Inception. Here's to seeing if I can scrounge them up again (yeah right, good luck with that, self).

(Would also love to see a crossover with Nitro+Chiral games, but lol dream on)
