But would it be? The world that is. I mean, yeah, the initial idea sounds nice and all and perhaps there would be more immediate benefits. But later on down the line? Where does it stop? When does such power come to an end? It's fascism and all based upon an extreme form of retribution and justice.

I don't think anyone should be given such total, authoritative power. It's stripping away free will. And it can be easily abused.

It's not that I can't see the appeal of such an idea. I would love to see rapists get their fair share of justice and more. But that's not my right to take things into my own hands.

More, I would like to see a world where stuff like that could be prevented rather than dealt with afterwards. Prevention >>> punishment.

22. This is why I really cannot stand most "fandom agnostics." Way to oversimplify everything, there. If you have a problem with organized religion, I can accept and respect that. Those of us who are religious, though, would like the same courtesy.

#22 - Have to say I agree - not that I appreciate the death, or think that even minor crimes deserve death but, honestly, God? Didn't quite manage. We have science backing us up, and we can now justify not believing in him. Kira (if we lived in the DN world)? Proof. He exists. You can't escape. That frightens me, but also stikes me as working far better than the Gov't does - since people still commit crime, in our world, even at the risk of punishment.

20.) Totally agree. I mean, it's interesting to think/read about, but if people started spontaneously dying in real life? NOT COOL.

22.) The "free will" thing comes to mind. Sure, Kira stops crime, but that's only because you'll DIE if you ever attempt something morally ambiguous. I mean, at least with God you've got the free will to screw up, and you can be forgiven for (most) things. But, hey, you know, living life being paralyzed in fear is great too, right? XD

6 - I love Geass, but I'm also worried about anything besides Suzaku/Lulu becoming canon. I just don't like the other pairings as much. Suzaku/Euphemia felt forced, and Lulu/Shirley is past any hope of working out well. I can't see CC or Nunnali seriously paired with anybody. I never noticed how similar they were to AsuCaga, before. Interesting...and disappointing, if they decide to go with it.
