then tag your posts and tell your friends to use tumblr savior on those tags if they aren't already, otherwise they have no right to complain about what you post on your own blog. maybe they'll get the point about the avengers while you're at it.

Have you considered starting a different tumblr account? I did that when I left Fandom A, since I figured my followers wouldn't appreciate being flooded with my posts about Fandom B.

I take it from OP's post that the people she follows weren't full of Avengers posts when s/he started following them.

So...

If you can unfollow someone on Tumblr without it being mutual, I think it's unfair to complain about what someone posts.

I think that hypocritical, but I don't understand why you can't just say "Yeah, I know it's annoying. I get the same reaction from all the Avengers stuff you put up. How about we all tag our stuff and get Tumblr Savior so we can avoid this?" Is there something stopping you?

That's rude. People can Tumblr savior that shit or unfollow or get over it. Tumblr gets way more eclectic than other fandom blogs so it's weird to expect everyone to stick to a small number of fandoms (and less fun that way IMO).

Someone I follow posted 2-3 pages worth of solid scrolling [seriously, just her avengers posts, nothing else] - and that was *with* all her Avengers posted Saviored into the little bar - I don't want think about how much scrolling it would have been if she hadn't tagged it.

But seriously, tag your posts and point your friends to tumblr savior - and if they still whine about it after that...Well. Personally, I'd point out that, to date, you hadn't complained about the Avengers posts, and you'd appreciate the same courtesy - particularly since, by tagging, you're making it fairly easy for them to ignore your posts.

if they're really only posting avengers stuff and you dislike it, you could always just... tumblr saviour their urls. That blocks everything they post ever, though. But it might work for a while, until the avengerspam dies down!

wow, they actually complained to you about it? Maybe it's just me, but that seems sort of harsh. My tumblr friends post plenty of stuff I don't care about but I just keep scrolling by because I know most of my followers aren't into a majority of what I post about. It never seemed a big enough deal to actually voice.

Man, that sucks OP. Since they follow you they shouldn't complain, because of course they don't have to and of course you're going to post about what you love. They do too.

I agree with everyone else that you should try tagging your stuff and asking them to tag theirs and then get tumblr savior. But...as far as I know, tumblr savior only works on computers, right?

I don't have an account, so I search by keywords, but obviously if you spend a lot of time on tumblr on a device that won't support tumblr savior then you'd have to deal with it anyway. They should just learn to be polite and scroll on by. Either that, or maybe it's time to stop following each other. :/

I kinda feel the same about some homestuck-loving friends on tumblr. I'd never rain on anyone's parade though.
