I've been using FFN for about, oh, 10 or 11 years. I post my stuff there because I don't know where else to post them. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't even know how to get an A03 account :(

Maybe I just fail at fandom. That's probably it.

I don't have one but I know if you go to the homepage of AO3 they have a link asking you if you would like to request an invite.

I requested an invite a while back, but I haven't heard anything, so I just assumed that I failed at it. For someone who used to work in tech support, I really suck at teh intarnetz.

Maybe you should try again? Maybe your invite got lost or something? I got my account like two month ago and I only had to wait 14 days. You should have gotten the invite per mail, but there's also a feature on the site, where you can check how far ahead in the queue.

Personally I really love AO3 and I think the filtering system alone is worth uploading stories there.

Seriously, try again. I recently got an account (a month or so ago? Mid-to-late April) and it took me about a week from the request to getting the invite. Make sure your spam filter will let through emails from @archiveofourown.org.

I really like AO3. Some people go kinda crazy with tags, which can be annoying, but overall it's a much, much better site for fanfic. And you can post fanart there, too! Or combinations of the two!

Well, I figured out the queue checking thing (I might get an account in August, apparently? I'm 5000-something in line), so at least I know the request went through!

I also added the domain to my whitelist, so hopefully everything will work out.

The thing is, right now it takes months to receive an invitation requesting it there. Most people don't have the patient to wait that long...
