It always throws me out of an episode or movie when the answer is so glaringly obvious to a casual viewer and you're supposed to be watching a genius scientist/brilliant detective puzzle it out over the next thirty minutes or so.

I'm actually saving my Dr. Who virginity... I'm just really in love with the idea of watching it for the first time with someone who really loves the show and being able to let them almost experience it again for the first time through me.

I did this with my husband when we were first dating. I had grown-up watching it with my parents and I introduced Doctor Who to my boyfriend within our first month together. He now loves the series even more than I do.

OH MY GOD I ACTUALLY EXPANDED THIS THREAD TO SAY THIS EXACT THING. That bothered me so much. Considering this thread had nothing to do with Doctor Who, I think that's saying something.

Whether Moffat is actually brilliant is an ongoing debate, but he sure doesn't give the audience that benefit of the doubt.
