Couldn't get through Plague Dogs--odd, because I loved Watership Down.

But now I'm gonna go find The Wild Road and Tailchaser's Song. Thanks for the recs~

The Wild Road has a sequel, called "The Golden Cat". Personally I think the writing style in those books is a little overdone, a little purple, but if you can live with it they're pretty engaging.

I had to skip the human bits of The Plague Dogs; I love Adams' writing style but sometimes he just goes ON and ON.
