Bunraku. It's a gunless, horseless Western themed on pop-up books/paper-folding, in which Gackt plays one of the two main characters. It came out last year to zero fanfare and is stupidly underrated; I've not seen a film with such a strong visual identity in years, and it's funny and full of visual jokes and lulzy melodramatic narration and is basically constantly really enjoying itself, to hell with the cliché-ridden story. Oh, and the evil gangster villain's secret weakness is that he's a giant weeaboo. Beware the ridic sexist subplot that is easy to ignore because it has nothing the hell to do with the main plot, and a subplot about racism against Asians (which is acknowledged by Gackt's fists).
