(Anonymous) 2012-06-29 05:03 am (UTC)(link)I've never had a fic deleted for violating TOS, even though when I had them up, a lot of my fics blatantly ignored it. I write both PWP and long in-depth plotty things. The best thing I ever wrote, in my own opinion, was 12,000 words of mind-rape-y nihilism and something that even though it wasn't explicit, is the kind of thing that sensitive people should never read.
I've been a part of FF.net since 2002. I was there before they banned NC-17 fics. And I feel like they're giant hypocrites. Fanfiction shouldn't have... rules. Even if that means that people can write garbage, it's like free speech. I'll defend peoples' rights to write garbage even if it makes me rage.
I just think everything should be allowed. They already have a filter for M-rated things and their definition of M-rated I don't agree with. I just post. If I get banned, whatever, no skin off my nose. I have a million places I can post to. I just like FF.net for ease of use.
It's like this argument doesn't even affect me but I feel the need to jump in anyway. Maybe I'm dumb.
It just feels... stifling.
