We are in complete agreement. If somebody wants to write a fic about two dog walkers wearing celebrities' faces, who cares? And if somebody wants to write a fic about those celebrities' personas or personas based on their celebrities, who cares?

Like you, I draw the line at involving or attempting to involve the celebrities themselves in the process. And I also think people who believe the personas and ships they have made up for celebrities are real and not figments of their own delicious imagination are a few cucumbers short of a jar of pickles.
