IMO, that part is realistic and understandable--it's just that she never learns from it. Like, she falls into a depression because she loses her man, and then snaps out of it once she gets him back. There's no, like, "I love him but I learned that I can live without him because I don't need a man to complete me." Nope. She kinda does. AAUGH.
