I always see these as much more of the "fandom" than the "fan" part of fandomsecrets: the OP's worried about what her fandom friends will think if they find out. There's the very real possibility fandom friends will find out and others finding out about your sexuality doesn't always work out great. So it might be easier to jump the gun.

Pretty much. Knowing me, something will slip out at some point or another and people will find out, and depending on what fandom and which friends, it could be a disaster.
