OP here, and yep. That's pretty much it. Everyone here has been super nice, but I still worry about being shot down for just joining the fad. Especially since IDK if I'm 100% sure I'm not just joining the fad. I like girls; I know that. But I also know I'm incredibly...enthusiastic? I will try everything once(wrote everyone first...XD), and since I have yet to actually BE in a f/f relationship, I feel like I can't know if it's not a fad.

Ugh. I appreciate everyone saying that I don't have to come out to fandom, but I'd like to tell my friends. Maybe after I do my flist cut.

If it is a phase, it doesn't have to be a big deal. Phases are completely valid! My first crush was on a girl, but I wasn't into any other girl until I was about twenty. I really do consider myself to have been straight in high school, but I'm completely pansexual now (ID'd as bi first, then learned about pan and found it fit better).

Human sexuality is more complex than a list of labels, and one person's sexuality can be more complex than one label. There's a reason 'bicurious' is a thing, and it's not a bad thing. If you're enjoying yourself, or learning about yourself, or whatever you want to get out of it, great! Just be safe and have fun.

Yet another example of my lack of knowledge; I've never heard bicurious used as anything other than a way of calling someone out for being bi just 'cause it's "cool". I'm trying to think of the word that explains it, but it's totally slipping my mind.

Damn, I feel like we're on the same wavelength or something, because...yeah. I've never really been in a relationship so it's sort of hard for me to even...know? I've always been kinda weirdly empathetic with people to the point that I take on their traits (probably because of some insecurities of my own, really) and a good friend of mine is bi, so sometimes I worry that I'm just trying to "fit in" with her or some weird thing? I don't know. So yeah, I have a lot of the same concerns as you.

After doing an flist cut would be good. Maybe tell the people you feel closest to. And don't be afraid to say "I don't know", either? I think people will understand if you explain what you're explaining here.

Although it's not like I've told anyone either, so heh.

Yes! I tend to adopt/adapt characteristics from everything around me, and I've always struggled with what's me and what's other people's contributions.

I think I am gonna talk to my flist, just put it on a filter and tell the people I know are understanding and cool.
