Where were the dwarves? And the others wizards? I know there are more of them than Gandalf, Saruman, and Radagast.

Were they hiding? Busy fighting elsewhere? Playing a really intense game of Monopoly?

Alatar and the other one - Pallondro? - went off into the East for reasons that are never particularly explored. They're vaguely implied to have been killed, gone native, or got caught up in fucking each other or something. They both wore blue, for the record.
