I hate his shiny bald head and douchey circle beard. Why do so many dumbass men remove their hair from where it should be (the head) and leave it where it shouldn't be (the face)?

Unmasculine giggling is okay in some cases, though, IMO.

You know, some people find bald heads attractive. Personally I don't. At all. Major turn off. But gottees are pretty hot. I would have preferred if he'd gotten the beard and still kept the hair on his head.

What do you mean, where it doesn't belong? It grows there.

Uh. You know guys grow hair on their face, right? Like, that's a feature of being male.

Some guys would rather have a full-shaved head than male pattern baldness. Then if they think they look too baby-faced, a beard is grown. Bald and just a mustache and they might look too much like this:

I haaaaate facial hair in most forms and on the majority of people, but, uh... it should be there. If it wasn't meant to be, it wouldn't grow there and would be considered a disorder or symptom of one. 8|

I found him much more attractive after he shaved his head and grew the beard. Bald can be really hot.

Uh, maybe because THEY like the look of it? Excuse me but that is the dumbest thing I read all day. Shaving your head and growing a beard makes you a dumbass, I can't even.

Here's a bit of science for you: hair grows naturally in BOTH places - the face and on top of the head. Where a guy chooses to keep his hair and where he chooses to shave it off is up to him. (Same is true for any other place hair grows, on both men and women.)

*Raises hand* Personally, I think bald men are sexy as hell. Also goatees are awesome.

Of course, YMMV and personal preference and stuff.

Oh hey, one time this guy friend of ours, well, he had no chin. Not that he was so fat he had no neck or what; he just had a very weak chin. And a kind of pudgy face. And it looked weird.

So one day me and a few other female friends of his cornered him and told him he was going to grow a goatee. Didn't need to be long, didn't need to be a full beard; but he needed to grow a goatee. "How about just a moustache?" He asked. He didn't really do facial hair, you see.

"No," we said firmly, "It needs to be a goatee. Your chin needs more definition."

And so he went and grew a goatee, and it looked great on him, and fifteen years later he still has it. Because it gave his face the definition and balance it needed.

Also he married one of the women who told him to grow a goatee, and had a couple of kids. So I'm guessing he wasn't offended, ha ha. No, really; we were firm and told him he was going to grow a goatee, but we were very nice and light-hearted about it, and he took it in the spirit in which it was intended.

All of which is to say that whatever one's personal preference is for facial hair, some guys just look weird without it. Like Antonio Banderas playing Zorro. Dude. Moustache?! Zorro needs that sexy little pencil moustache to balance the mask; his face looks weird without it. Also Zorro needs a moustache because Zorro's moustache is as sexy as hell. XD

Oh, no. Anything but a man daring not to fit your paradigms of masculinity that are no way based on frequently restrictive and harmful narratives. How very dare he. /doesn't even like DS9

I love Sisko. My main Starfleet Captain pet peeve is with Picard's teeny weeny itsy bits nighties.

He's French, m'dear, what else could you expect? :p

The unmasculinity of his giggle is exactly what I love about it. He's such a SRS BSNS intimidating masculine alpha-dog who spends most of his time glowering and shouting and bossing people around that it's sweet to see another side of him. Same with his baseball fanboying, or his bro-ness with Dax.

All of this. I'm gonna throw in his super-demonstrative affection for Jake. Ooh, and the gourmet cooking!

I just adore The Sisko. I want him to show up in the new movies so badly ('cause a little alternate timeline isn't gonna stop him now, is it? "Alternate"? What is this?)

Honestly he's just my least favourite captain (The character - I don't what the actor is like, might be a really great guy). The whole emissary thing also rubbed me the wrong way quite a lot.

That being said, I think somewhat girly giggles from men can be really cute in some contexts (and with some guys).

The world needs to get over the fact that men giggle. I don't for the life of me understand why it's considered childish or unmasculine. It is a fucking normal kind of laughter, and many men do it. I know more men who giggle than women! It's a ridiculous thing to call the gender police over.

I love his giggle. It's kinda girly and adorably cute.
