Good luck, and make sure you're actually interested in the stuff! Because jesus fuck, do I regret studying law. I'm in my second year, I developed severe depression and I realised I'll never be a lawyer because I have no social skills, which my parents kindly remind me of constantly.

I wish I could travel back in time and tell myself to go study something else. I have no motivation to continue whatsoever, but I can't quit.

Hey, who knows. Social skills do vary innately from person to person, but they're also a thing that can and needs to be practiced to develop them and keep them in shape, so maybe keeping at it might help you get better in the social aspect! You never know.

Most of the lawyers I know (a considerable amount!) have little to no social skills, anon, so don't worry that being anxious or awkward will make you a bad lawyer! Most of what lawyers do is just reviewing documents and occasionally writing up stuff. Only like 15% of lawyers are trial lawyers who actually have to go to court (fair warning: I just made that number up, but seriously, you can be a successful lawyer without ever once setting foot in a courtroom).
