I don't know about Anon you replied to, but there's actually a lot of stuff I find hot in action that I find off-putting in writing or visuals. So just because someone doesn't want to read about it or finds reading/seeing/listening to it disgusting doesn't mean they don't enjoy the act itself.

I know it's not. People think the only settings humans have are straight, bi, and gay. It's actually a LOT more complicated.

Considering how inaccurate some fic can be, I can understand someone feeling that way.

I can't watch most medical dramas anymore now that I know enough to notice how much they get wrong; my stepfather won't watch police procedurals for essentially the same reason. It makes sense that some people might prefer to only read about sex acts they haven't participated in.
