i don't disagree that she (a female!cas) would probably have been fridged and killed in various gory ways (see: anna) and i truly love the ladies on spn and hate the treatment they get but you know what:

yeah i don't understand how people use the misogyny card for every single argument in this show. spn has a LOT of problems. the treatment of women is a huge one but it is just one of them. and sorry to say but not every. single. problem. can be traced back to that.

Oh my god yes. In fact, I feel like if Cas had been female, Dean and Anna would never have even slept together - that was done mostly to show Dean sleeping with an angel, and to talk about why an angel would fall, etc etc. Which I'm guessing could/would have been done with Cas if he were female - and in fact would have felt less awkward than Dean/Anna (given how little they knew each other).

If Cas had been female in 5.03 (yes, yes, he wouldn't have survived to reach that episode) the whole brothel scene would never have happened and we would have got a Dean/Cas sex scene instead.
