OT but this seems as good a place as any to ask. For straight women who enjoy heterosexual video pornagraphy, what is it about it you find arousing?

I'm a bisexual cis female. Most of the het porn I have come across has the women front and center with the men basically being disembodied cocks (unless it's femdom). When I watch, I find myself focusing solely on the woman because the guy might as well be a sentient dildo. Does this make it difficult for you to enjoy het porn?

I've only watched porn a few times...it was always het. Not much to enjoy at all. I'm not attracted to women myself (I like guys), and the men are indeed always in the background. Usually barely even on screen! And, er, not to sound shallow, but they aren't chosen for their looks...

I find it kind of ironic that, much as I like m/m, I've never watched m/m porn. Huh.

(Not straight, but I'll take a shot at this anyway.) Depends on the porn in question. I really, really like dirty talk, so if a particular actor or actress is good at that, I can watch the scene and get something out of it even if the dude is a non-entity otherwise. Also, there are some better videos that have something vaguely resembling character development for the guy, so he's not quite as much of a dick connected to a blank slate (there were a bunch of these in the late '90s, although they're hard to find now).

I agree that pr0n intended for a queer (or better, queer and kinky) audience tends to be more interesting, though. There's also some female-written-and-directed romance-novel-come-to-life porn that more or less avoids the dude-as-dildo phenomenon, although I often find those hard to watch without laughing my ass off.

I sort of just like...the act of fucking, if it's done well. I know that sort of sounds abstract, but I look at it more in a voyeuristic way.

I do not identify with women in porn (nor do I necessarily find the men specifically hot - in fact, if I find men hot that's mostly in gay porn).

I won't enjoy watching a girl alone masturbating, but if the porn basically has two bodies engaged in a good rogering, I'm game. I think, in a way, that's why I can actually get off on many variations of porn even though identifying as straight. For het/gay male porn I can pretty much watch them interchangeably - but honestly, I've gotten off on lesbian strapon porn or transsexual porn too.
