If it's pronounced like R-oo-d, then I'd personally spell it out as 'Rood or Rood' to indicate the non-standard meaning/pronunciation. But, tbh, I don't think there's one right way to spell it; nicknames like that are more phonetic than written. And if all else fails, Rude works. If you're writing a story or something, someone could comment on it, even.

Yeah, that's a good point. I also like the idea of having someone comment on it -- this is indeed for something I'm writing, so I might end up doing that! Thanks for the inspiration ;D
