Calcifer and Turniphead are the most adorkable things in the universe.

I didn't know about Howl's Moving Castle until my library got it and I checked it out for something to watch during chores.

The chores did not get done that day!

Talk about hiccuping sobs and floods of tears-- and I was pretty unaffected until the effin montage at the end. D: So glad I watched it alone when I saw it the first time. It was embarrassing, the level of tears. ^^;

it's still a classic, tearjerker or not

I would say "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" and "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" - I love love LOVE me "Whisper of the Heart" but I wouldn't consider it in the "must-see" category despite how much I personally love it.

while Nausicaa is a Miyazaki film, it is not a Studio Ghibli film

a good film nonetheless

My Neighbours the Yamadas (woefully underrated) are very light-hearted and fun!

Ponyo is cute, and one of my personal favorites is The Cat's Return. But I'm a huge cat fanatic so maybe that's just me.

I really liked Ponyo. Reminded me of The Little Mermaid, actually, but much more quirky and fun.

Whisper of the Heart.

(Everyone else will say Nausicaa, but I found it boring tbh.)

I loved Whisper of the Heart!

Whispers of the Heart is my fave Ghibli film ever! I have so many ~feelings~ towards that movie. One of my favourite coming-of-age movies.

Both are Ghibli must-sees!

I happen to really, really like My Neighbours The Yamadas. It's slice-of-life but so adorable, and it made me want to hug my family after seeing it.

Bonus points for its japanese rendition of Que Sera Sera. *wants to see it again now!*
