While I don't completely agree with how the anon above said what they did...I have to admit, I kind of agree with them. No one should harsh someone else's squee...but the person doing the squeeing? They should respect it if the person listening doesn't enjoy listening to their squeeing about something they don't like.

I get that - pretty much all based on whether there was any "Could you please not talk to me about this?" in the beginning or not. If it's on OP's own journal/whatever though, that's really not their friends place to blow up at them about posting/having fun IMO.

I agree, if it was on the OP's journal/tumblr/whatever then the friend was out of line, but...I just kind of got the feeling, from how the secret was phrased, that it was more conversations than it was 'You're posting stuff I don't like!' I'll grant you, it could be because there have been a few times I've had friends do exactly that [not hushing about a topic I'd said, more than once usually, that I do not wish to discuss], and I reacted...similar to OP's friend in that I ended up getting fairly snippy about it, since being polite just did *not* work.

tl;dr: I agree, I just took the secret as being about interactions than what was going on in a personal journal.
