To Secret Poster:
I don't understand this secret because it makes no sense whatsoever.
It sounds like the Secret Poster is just trying to gain more readers but in the end will lose them. And if more slash readers follow the story (and isn't it creepy that you know that) and you didn't give any indication that the story is slash why should they be disappointed that there will be no slash pairing? There seems to be no "gen"-label and if you put no slash-warning (did you indicate that may be slash just to troll?) a lot of people may nevertheless assume there will be het - so not so surprising any more.

To Poster above:
How do you know that in this story the pairings aren't really the focus (when the story obviously still progresses in this direction) except you really are the Secret Poster?
You don't have to reveal the pairing but you can maybe say there's a "surprise-pairing" or you won't reveal the pairing before.

The people on this thread are not acting like entitled assholes. The secret poster needs to get of her/his high horse because she/he seems to enjoy trolling for no reason.

And books and tv shows are two very different animals from fanfic because (as the name indicates) fanfics are written as fanfics about existing books/tv shows.
