The person is watching a story. It's natural for them to want the story to end in a good place, for the characters to remain likeable or whatever to them. The people working on the show are not part of that. Do get angry when people enjoy plot twists that result in characters leaving the show? That puts somebody out of a job too.

Everyone who works in TV knows their job is temporary. That's how it works. Their resumes have lots of shows on them.

Judging someone for wanting the story to have a strong ending is judging the person for engaging with the story exactly the way they're supposed to be.
