Well....it IS a fun song (imo anyway), even if weirdly creepy and the blue screen being really bad. XD;;;

Though it was really worse in the book because it followed after the other door that led to a laughs-into-madness portion of the "forest/labyrinth" that was chilling as shit and I sorta wish that had been in the movie. >_>

But it's NOT a blue screen. The black background in the scene is an actual black background, and all the puppeteers are covered head to toe in matching black velvet.

Oh man, they were hilarious in the book!

There's nothing wrong with "Chilly Down!" In fact, I prefer the Kelley Polar remake of "Dance Magic" than the original.

"Chilly Down" isn't my favorite, but that's probably because the muppets in this scene freaked me out a little when I was a kid.

This scene actually threw me off completely, because, like, where the fuck did that come from? Granted, I watched it as an adult, never as a child, so maybe I would have liked it more with nostalgia goggles.

Personally, I love the Random Ballroom Love Dance Sequence best.

I know it's become a thing to use the NC's Big Lipped Alligator moment for that, but...honestly, it's not that random. The labyrinth is full of different goblins, and there needed to be a reason for Hoggle to rush off to Sarah's aid. It's there for Hoggle to rush off to save Sarah, so Jareth can give him the peach :P

Hey, if you're in it for the Muppet action, this song is definitely where that's at as opposed to some of the more Jareth vs Sarah related ones. No shame in Muppet love OP.

I'm pretty sure he still had something to do with making the song, so it's hardly a fully betrayal. Also, you can't help liking what you like, and it's a really fun song.

Chilly Down is my absolute favorite, especially the longer version included on the soundtrack.

I loved the song when I first saw it in the movie (and still love it!). Which is odd, considering the "head removal" and things did creep me out.

I love Labyrinth, fav movie of all time! I adore all the songs, personally, my favorite is Underground. The unintended (Or intended?!) innuendo in it is so amusing.

No one cane blame you for walking away, but too much protection, no love injection. Heh.

The head-poppy-offy guys! Feel no shame or regret, anon, it was a really catchy song. Not my personal favorite in the movie, but despite the cheese and awful effects, I love the hell out of that scene.

When I saw this, my first thought was, "OMG are you me?!" I love this scene, in large part because of the horrific realization that they want to tear Sarah's head off.

The Fire Gang are the scariest creatures in the labyrinth to me. Ever since I was a child, I've had anxiety problems, and one of my biggest anxiety triggers is injury to eyes or eyeballs not in a face. The Firey that plays with its eyeballs and then eats them... I had nightmares about it as a kid. (I believe it's one of the ones Kevin Clash worked on.)

It's not my favourite (♥Within You♥), but I like it! And Danny John-Jules voiced two of the Fireys. I'd love Chilly Down just for that, but it's a fun song besides. You're not doing it wrong if it's your favourite!

Christ is that thing pant-shittingly terrifying.

So I looked at this secret on a large screen tv. Thanks OP I blocked those crazy, child frightening muppets from my mind. Now I'm going to have nightmares.

Chilly Down is amazing, just like all the songs in this movie. I was never freaked out by those muppets--I LOVED THEM. <3 I loved all the crazy creatures and all the fun songs in this movie. (Except the ballroom scene and As the World Falls Down bored the crap out of me as a kid, but I appreciated the scene and song more when I grew up.)
