i hate babies so much. every time i see one i get this irrational desire to punch it.

love kids though. once they learn how to speak they're so precious :) and i can't wait to have kids. but yeah, hopefully i don't want to punch my own babies. that would be awkward.

Walk away, flee in terror, escape through a secret tunnel, whatever I get anon. But how on earth would abusing the baby solve anything? "Best case" scenario you are now linked to baby through criminal charges for even longer than just handling the situation in a mature fashion.

Sorry, it just severely irks me when people flippantly imply violence against helpless children or anyone else is in any way acceptable.

Did an infant do something horrible to you in a past life? And rumor has it that YES it makes a ton of difference to most people whether the little crying-pooping-messy machine is yours or not lol.

i would never actually do anything to harm a baby (or anybody or anything else, for that matter. i even spare insects.). i mean, i have a concept of right and wrong and an overactive conscience. i just have this controllable urge for violence when i see them. i don't know why, but i've thought that maybe it's because babies are like the epitome of everything that is annoying about people. they're pathetic, demanding, disgusting, and can't do a damned thing for themselves. and they're probably going to grow up and be a bastard someday to boot. but yeah, not actually going to harm one. and i hope i love my own and that it cures me of my revulsion of them.

With that kind of attitude about kids, you really should consider abstaining from having them. Truth is, if when they do begin to talk and can change themselves and go to the bathroom by themselves, they're still going to demand your attention. They're going to get sick sometimes with the flu and vomit over your floor and be "gross", and you're going to have to suck it up and clean up that mess.

Wanting to have kids so it will "cure your hatred of them" really isn't a good reason to be a parent. In fact, hating kids that much and getting easily annoyed with them if they want your attention (and believe me, the will want your attention 90% of the time) is a fast track to being a neglectful parent that could damage your child. I'm not trying to offend you, but parenting isn't for everyone. That's okay.

At least think over it some more before you decide to have kids.

Usually, I'd agree with you on that one, but in this case? Fuck no.

If you go somewhere and talk about wanting to punch babies and how you want to have kids to "cure yourself" of this then people damn well should point out all the flaws in your logic.

Jesus Christ, were people just not supposed to point out that wanting punch babies is fucked up? Were people just supposed to ignore that if you have kids you might end up wanting to punch your own kid - and that being in a situation where you can't escape the responsibility of that kid may result in a very, very bad situation?

Thank you very much. People having children for any selfish reason, especially to cure a hatred of babies sends a chill down my spine and really makes me hope this is just a troll. They are human beings. The will grow up into actual people who will have enough problems without starting life with a parent who resents them for not being what they expected.

I have the complete opposite reaction. I don't like babies, but I don't hate them. Children on the other hand, are just as disgusting without the excuse of being too young to help it. Whenever I see a 5 year old throwing a tantrum in a supermarket, I want to punch it in the face.

Yeah, you're not much better. You know, you weren't a saint when you were a kid. Neither were your parents, or your parents' parents. Neither was your best friend, or your significant other, or anyone else.

Sometimes, no matter what, kids get upset. They're not dogs, you can't train them. I mean, look--you, an adult (presumably)--get irrationally upset and want to inflict violence upon someone smaller and more helpless than you for being loud. How do you think it is to a kid?

Kid's are not untrained little adults. They are like biologically different beings, in a sense.
