No. 6 is a sci-fi anime that has a romance between the two male leads. I really love how it is similar to so many sci-fi stories with m/f pairings in that the focus is on the sci-fi plot and the romance is important, but still a side plot, and in that way it is normalized. There is also a character who I think is supposed to be genderqueer. It's really good, and I've heard that the novels it is based on are even better.

I definitely second this too, but a tip would be to check out the novels after watching the anime, since I feel personally that the anime ending could have been done better. Just a small warning. ^^
