I think all aspects of the fandom are pretty good about not bashing characters, I think. I ship Bruce/Natasha and Clint is almost always that Most Awesome BFFs in that as well.

I like seeing a guy and a girl actually just be friends, and the movie canon is ambiguous enough I can blissfully do that.

Me too :) My headcanon is that they're basically badass best friends but not romantic, because I like the idea of that super close friendship.
