The reason being it doesn't fit the rest of the soundtrack. The Elvish song they play earlier is what fit. To fans, this song is a reminder of the terrible, terrible marketing campaign that advertised all the wrong things to all the wrong people.

Remember that this game was supposed to represent the return to the classic RPG. Baldur's Gate II, and all of that. The modern rock songs bothered people because it spoke poorly of BioWare's confidence in classic RPGs.

That said, I think the lyrics of the song fit fairly well with the actual game, and I didn't mind it's inclusion, since we did have an appropriate song and it actually came first in the credits anyway.
