Oh dear. Someone on the Internet refuses to believe that I'm a guy and that there are guys like me out there...

Your "real gay guys read het" statement is annoying. Not only does it screams that you're invalidating everyone else's experience, but it comes off as "gays should act this way or else they're fake" and it is fucking offensive.

Plus, like, where does that idea even come from.. like, what? The idea that all gay men secretly want to be straight men? WHAT?

Or, gay men secretly live vicariously through the female characters in straight romances, which, okay, I can sort of understand since it's not exactly that unheard of. But seriously, if it deals directly with gay men, you can bet your bottom dollar that at least a few of us would at least take a look.
