I would like to subscribe to this belief, because men reading my slash makes me a little uncomfortable, not gonna lie. It's like discussing any fantasy with a guy (who I am not dating or whatever); I'm okay talking about masturbation/fantasies/sex with women I know somewhat, but...guys are a different story. Your "real gay guys read het" statement is annoying. Not only does it screams that you're invalidating everyone else's experience, but it comes off as "gays should act this way or else they're fake" and it is fucking offensive.

I once knew a girl that pretended to be a gay dude in fandom. I'm sure many people do. I wouldn't say they don't exist at all though. I have a few gay dudes that follow me because I draw fanart of hot guys.


Still.. I'm kinda the same way about this but not just in fandoms. I had a hard time believe that there are women into my fetish since it's typically a man's thing.
