I hope so too. I mean the fact that she seemed so involved in Stark Tower seems to point to at least some high-level position in the company (I really can't see her still being Tony's PA after everything else that's happened, and I really don't expect Tony to be CEO and Iron Man and an Avenger), but I guess we'll see.

....she was? And didn't really like it? If I'm remembering that right.

Been a while since I last watched that movie. And even then, I was only watching for the pretty and the awesome that is Tony/Pepper.

edit: After reading comments, I guess she may still be CEO. Huh.

Even if she wasn't CEO, I would think Tony would keep her in a high position. (after all, he knows she just dealt with all of this, while he was spiraling into a death-madness) Many of my fics currently feature her as CFO, because Tony wanted her to stay on but she didn't want the entire responsibility. (keeping with movie continuity at the moment, we'll see how that changes in IM3. I'd prefer her to stay on as chief executive as well)

She was the most likable character in the IM films for me. Weird opinion, but I'd watch a movie about her, but not about Black Widow. Even weirder cause I despise Gwyneth Paltrow.

This is the only set of films I've ever liked her in.

I don't like Paltrow in general either, but I love her as Pepper. It's weird.

I don't think I've ever seen anything else she's been in or read much about her IRL, so I don't know my feels about her, but IA. ~~though I wouldn't mind a BW movie too~~

Me too. And agree about Widow too, I just don't like the character and never did. What I wouldn't do for Wanda or Miss Marvel. Or Janet but that would mean we'd have to have Pym too. And who wants Pym.

As long as it doesn't go the route of Cave Johnson and Caroline, we're okay.

O.O ...I don't know whether to be terrified or awe-inspired. That could be - interesting, to say the least.

He said he didn't accept her resignation, so she should still be CEO. Or did I miss something?

No, seriously, that should be a power. Because most superheroes are barely functioning, at best, due to addictions, PTSD, angst, etc. Pepper just sighs, changes her shoes, and deals.

Yes, this. I love Pepper. Would LOVE to have that woman's strength, determination and capability. She was one of the best parts of the Iron Man movies for me, despite loving Tony himself too.

And I always thought that was indeed 'a moment of weakness' and she remained CEO. Now I'm a bit worried too...

Me too :) I love Pepper, and I'm really hoping that in Iron Man 3/future movies she'll still be the CEO and as brilliant as Tony but in different ways. That's why I adore their relationship, is that even though on a surface level she just started as his assistant and he's a superhero, they complement each other so well.

Considering she was flying to DC for business in the Avengers while Tony was doing fuck-all but designing things, I'd say that her still being CEO is a good assumption. She's very capable.

Huh, I thought the Avengers seemed to pretty strongly imply she was CEO ("all this came from you", etc.), but on second thought it was actually outright stated. But yeah, I hope so too! I mean, really, it makes so much sense.

I thought she was still CEO after some drama. Tell me I'm not wrong!

It probably honestly depends on who's writing Iron Man III. I can easily see someone writing that out from pure ignorance of not paying attention to how awesome Pepper is.

I FEEL THIS. But I have faith in Shane Black and the screenwriting team :D Pepper is awesome.

I would be unbelievably thrilled if that happened (and I'll bet you in future Avengers movies she will be), but I don't trust the Iron Man movies with her anymore, not after that sequel (and knowing that her awesome moment got taken away :().
