Jeff Goldblum and Benjamin Bratt broke up amicably a few years back, and are still best friends, living in NY as roomies. However, Benji never stopped being in love with Jeff, and has always attempted to manipulate Jeff into taking him back.

Only issue is, Jeff's been dating Samuel L. Jackson for a year now, and they're so in love it appears nothing can break them up.

It's Jeff and Samuel's one year anniversary, and Jeff's present for Samuel is to fulfill a fantasy of his. Samuel and Jeff have only ever had very tender and loving sex, but once Samuel bashfully told Jeff of a fantasy he has where Jeff is tied up and blindfolded, legs spread, just there for him to use and pleasure. Samuel feels horrible for the fantasy, but on their anniversary Jeff ties himself to his bed, blindfolded (he can have help with this, maybe Will Smith or Sam Neill?) and pre-prepped, ready to be used.

However, Samuel's running late to get home from work, and Benji's, well, running early. Benji can't find Jeff so he looks in Jeff's room, finding him tied up and hard as hell. Jeff hears footsteps and begs 'Samuel' to use him.

Benji does, hard, in his ass and his mouth, keeping silent. He believes that Jeff will fall for him again when he realizes how well Benji can pleasure him. Benji gets annoyed every time Jeff says Samuel's name, and fucks him harder.

After they've both cum Jeff shakes off his blindfold, smiling at 'Samuel', before seeing who it actually was and screaming. He's still tied up, but he yells that he never wants to see Benji again, feeling disgusted.

Benjamin Bratt leaves, angry and confused as to why it didn't work.

Samuel comes home and unties Jeff Goldblum, and holds him while he cries about everything that happened.

...YES. The comparison is pretty perfectly, especially since people want a redemption for Loki most likely similar to what Megamind got (and when you think about it, Megamind has done a ton of bad things---stuff on Loki's level, too).

Except Megamind never killed anybody. He tried multiple times with MEtro Man, but never succeeded, and honestly, never really wanted to (and found winning kind of blew).

So-- the comparison is kind of there, but Megamind's a better person than Loki will ever manage to be.

He didn't? When he took over the world/city after everyone thought he defeated Metroman, I thought it was implied that people were dying in the giant crime wave.

Oh my god no. You are ruining the good name of Megamind with this. I just....no. They are so miles apart in my view I can't even see the comparison (except for the whole both being villain mastermind type thing).

... I am DEAD, anon. I had never thought of this but I'm rolling on the floor laughing now. I really need to rewatch Megamind now.

I haven't even seen Megamind, but just from the trailers I thought "oh, it's Loki in animation form"

I don't think so, OP. They might have started out as similar acting-out-for-attention characters, but they become way different people. Loki is evil. Megamind is not.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree, having seen both movies.

Megamind eventually became someone who wanted to be a better person, though it took him a bit to finally realize it. Loki had become consumed by his anger and was pretty unrepentant about his actions and the effects they'd wrought on others.

A classic case of apples and oranges, imho.

I think the more apt comparison would be Tony Stark and Megamind.

Not just similar science disciplines and musical tastes, but a certain 'coming back from being bad' after being 'bad' as blown up in their faces. They're both making up for past sins (Tony as an arms dealer and general cock up, Megamind as a villain) and share a lot of key personality traits: namely, intelligence, arrogance, not really wanting to be a good guy.

They also both have issues with living up to the father-figure/past that was laid out for them: Howard was an abusive drunk prick who fucked Tony up hardcore, and Megamind was raised in a prison and taught "Wrong" over "Right". They start out as products of their upbringing, and circumstance forces them both to reconsider and reorient their lives. They also both love tech, AC/DC, huge performances, and being flashy.

Loki and Megamind are superficially alike; and the whole 'secret Jotun' helps a great deal to foster, but Loki had a thousand things that Megamind didn't have: a loving family (sorry, don't buy the 'Odin was an abusive prick and Frigga loved him' as portrayed in the movie canon) with a devoted brother who was kind of a dumbass, but in the end, Loki couldn't be satisfied with being a beloved son and brother, he had to have it all. He was being bad before he knew about his Jotun angst... and will probably never, ever look back and accept culpability for his actions.

Fun fact: Megamind was supposed to be voiced by RDJ.
