Thank fucking God I'm not the only one who feels this way. I find the author's attitude absolutely disgusting, and it baffles me that people are actually donating.

Because wanting to donate a few bucks to someone who provides you with free weekly entertainment is such a strange idea? The extra page is also an added bonus, but not necessarily the only inducement.

And why shouldn't the author make some money through donations? What's wrong with saying "here's the tip jar - when it's full, I'll post an extra page!"? Why shouldn't he make some money of the website?

The only eyebrow raising part of the secret was the $400 dollar donation part, and that wasn't even accurate. The art and writing could be better, but as it is it's good enough to be pro.

$400 bucks is how much TOTAL has to be raised for an extra page.

Each individual can donate as much or as little as they want - hence the "few bucks".
