Don't feel bad. It's not a privileged white girl problem (ugh, I really dislike that meme. I mean, yeah, you have privilege, but that doesn't mean nothing bad ever happens to you and you can never complain. Same with "first world problems". I think that only really applies if you're moping endlessly about something that actually hinges on you being privileged, racially or otherwise- like, wahhh, someone called me out on my racist joke about black people!!! or wahhhh my mom won't get me an iPad!! Rant not directed at you, OP, I just think it sucks if people are using the whole "you're a privileged whiny jerk" thing to make people feel guilty for talking about problems. sorry, tangent). Anyway, it sounds like you just wanted to support your favorite movie, but you didn't see it opening day. I understand that you feel responsible for it not doing well (although the other comments seem to be saying otherwise), but don't feel bad. Maybe when you do see it, you could talk it up to your friends and family and get people who wouldn't see it otherwise because they think it's just a kid's movie or whatever to check it out?
