(Anonymous) 2012-07-02 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)Now if we're talking a student/teacher relationship where both people are of-age, I still think there can be problems, like in any case where there's any big difference in power dynamics, but I'm much more likely to accept that relationship than one with someone who's still in high school.
This isn't to say that every student/teacher relationship is problematic, because I'm sure there are plenty that aren't, but there's a higher possibility for abuse in relationships with that kind of imbalance of power. The same can be said for a boss/employee relationship or a vampire/human relationship. And yes, I'm talking about these romances as they are portrayed in the media only. I have no opinion of them in real life, as it's none of my business.

I do have opinions about this irl because the "none of my business" thing doesn't really apply when stuff like statuatory rape and coercion can be involved.
