How many secrets were made about the same thing at the end of ATLA, and how many were flamed for doing so? (Most of them) Cut to this series and it's all claps and whistles. Fandom, you be so silly and fickle.

The show did show you don't always end up with your teenage partner, though. Mako breaks up with Asami/Tenzin had broken up with Lin.

I'm pretty amused at how many people who ship Borra/other ships were originally, very vocally, Maiko/Kataang BNFs. And how they look through episode bits in Korra to say that Bolin totes was still in love with Korra, despite not showing any interest in her romantically past episode five/flat out saying he was over it in episode nine. All I can think to myself is "Oh you guys, becoming Zutara shippers! Not so bad as you originally though, huh?"
