Agreed with all of this, because while I think the plot critiques and such are very true, I still enjoyed it a lot (it also helped that I saw it with my mother and it gave us fuzzy moments). Not up to standard Pixar quality, but I'm not going to be one of the "DOOOOOOOOM" advocates regarding that.

But ah, I have a friend who is in your same dilemma of getting it two months later. I was hoping to watch it with her while I was visiting the region. Would you mind terribly if I asked for directions to these other ways you speak of?
