Because it was. It was pretty much what people had been doing by themselves for years (Or the idea of sharing art and talking about the series was). She could have put the extra info in the encyclopedia - that people will STILL pay for.

CoS just opened for everyone last week (the first few chapters - I haven't checked for more), but Slytherins got it a few days earlier for winning the Cup.
