I want to know how it can break anyone's heart that non-pairings never come to fruition. If it's literally all in your head, of course it's not going to happen. I doesn't break my heart that Harry Potter and Blaise Zabini never happened. I can happily go on shipping it knowing there's not a snowball's chance in hell of it happening. And really, I prefer it that way, because then it can't be ruined with canon interpretations :P

Great use of background image. The look on Snape's face is fucking creepily perfect. He's got this obsessive stalker look, while Hermione looks rather innocent. It really seems like you are insinuating that Snape/Hemione fans like the obsessive-stalker-takes-advantage-of-young girl vibe.

But, yeah, try a little harder to be believable next time. Saying that seeing a fandom ship sunk-- a ship that was never, ever going to canonically sail-- broke your heart is a little obvious.

What are you talking about anon? Didn't you read that chapter in the 8th book where they finally admitted their love for each other after Hermione spent all that time tracking him down. Spoilers: he faked his death, but she knew he was alive because they had a special connection.

Take a step back and think about how this could have POSSIBLY happened in the books and done any justice to the pairing whatsoever.

Yes, there are fics in which a pre-graduation relationship between them is handled respectfully. Are any of these fics from Harry's perspective? Were you really expecting JKR to switch from Harry-POV and Harry-centric-plot long enough for this to happen?

I've adored this pairing since the GoF-OotP hiatus, but knew expecting it to happen made about as much sense as expecting my very own Hogwarts letter to arrive.
