Parodies are usually meant to make a point, and if you disagree with that point, then you have every tight to take issue with the parody, the same way the parody had the right to take issue with whatever they were parodying.

It really depends. All the American fans I know seem more amused than anything else by the representation of the United States. Surprisingly, I also know some Poles who like their country, too (Poland is portrayed as an effeminate, slightly callous cross-dresser who speaks in the AmE equivalent of a Valley Girl accent). Himaruya hit the mark on some countries and apparently screwed up a bunch of others (or some countries have a better sense of humor and a more honest understanding of themselves than others. Who knows).

Belgium is shown as a rather sweet girl, the younger sister of the Netherlands and the older sister of Luxembourg.

...Because Hetalia only makes fun of Italians? You could have started that sentence "As a(n)" and then said any country. Hetalia isn't picking on Italians, it takes the piss out of all countries, and uses stereotypes to mock everyone. Ok if you're offended by it, that's fine, you have a right to be, but don't try and make out like Italians are the only ones to be made fun of in Hetalia.

Somehow I doubt you're even Italian and are just the usual anti-Hetalia poster.

If not... is it really just ~Hetalia~ that shows offensive, poorly researched stereotypes of Italy? These characters are seen as basically humans within the fandom, and while historical accuracy is always nice, it's still a requirement to follow the canon of the comic. There's a million ways to interpret a country.

Truth be told I love hetalia, but I do get pissed off when the nations ignore their people so that a ship can happen. So I guess I kind of agree with you OP, but it's really easy to scroll pass that.

Among the pairings I read, they are written as ignoring their own countries and duties far more often than other nations. It annoys me, too. But every ship has something that annoys you *shrug*

It's the way you behave against opposite gender too. Too giggly? Too harsh? Shy? You're calling yourself polite but for who? You should ask one of your friends about this first. Or your mum I don't know.

About ugliness, I've seen very ugly people getting nice laids. I had self-esteem problems because I was told "ugly" during my childhood. (Not by my family but from opposite gender, idiot kids) They didn't put me on Snow White role because I wasn't pretty enough. This hurts like fuck and still looking back it still hurts.

When I become age I started to wax my thick eyebrows and other parts of my body thanks to being brunette and everything changed. Now I don't have boyfriend because I don't want to. But you know what? I see people "not attractive" at least worse than me getting nice boyfriends. I've realized all this stuff is bullshit. If you want to have boyfriend you can, just look after your behaviour.

Oh, please. As a non-fan of Hetalia, lighten the fuck up. These are not physically your countries, these are, in the end, characters with personalities. Yeah, they represent countries, but seriously? I'm sure your life has been so ~negatively impacted~ by all those people who truly believe Italians do nothing but eat pasta.
