OP here.

I could not agree with you more. The story is complete. Everything that I wanted to see happen, happened. It was so satisfying.

Tell me more of this "Monster."

It's only the BEST STORY EVER!!! :) Naoki Urasawa is a superb storyteller, it's like reading an illustrated murder mystery thriller that you can't put downnnn. It's been licensed by VIZ, but I don't know if they're doing it justice. I do know Naoki himself forced them to keep the cover designs the same as the Japanese, so maybe he's somehow forcing them to keep up translation quality and not censor things as they are so apt to do. If you do a bit of looking, I'm sure you'll find the torrent for all 18 volumes done by mangascreener.com.

It's FANTASTIC. 9 volumes (maybe 10) are out in English through Viz, and their translation is excellent.

It's a suspense/character drama/detective story about... well, this brilliant neurosurgeon, Dr. Tenma, is suspected of a string of murders he didn't commit, but there's so much more to it than that. Also, the setting is neat: Germany (primarily Dusseldorf and Koln so far) both before and after the fall of the Berlin wall.

Ghaaaaaah, it's so good. I just picked up vol. 7. Dr Tenma barely shows up at all, but it remains as compelling as ever.

Urasawa's a brilliant manga artist, too - one of the few in the industry who understands that OMG, facial structures vary from person to person!

OK, I'll stop fangirling now.
