I've seen two episodes of this, thought it was fairly good (nothing amazing), but jesus, the Sherlock/Watson fans on tumblr have made me never want to watch it. I really can't tell whether it's because of them that I find the homoerotic implications forced and fanservicey.

Yeah. I love subtext and slashy bits but I think it's annoying when it's forced/fanservice. Especially because they're all "no homo" about it at their next possible convenience.

There's your problem. Crazy seems to congregate on tumblr (or perhaps the crazies are just more visable there). I've had to unfollow a lot of people on there because they were killing several of my fandoms with their shit.
