It's great for small fandoms but it's harder to make a personal connection there because of all the character limits tumblr imposes. Also it skews really young which can be awkward. Every once in a while I realize I'm talking to someone who is 13 and it freaks me the fuck out because I'm over there reblogging hardcore pornography sometimes. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor is no joke where I live. It's a crime. I'd like some privacy controls for that reason.

OH, yeah, the age range definitely makes it awkward, too. I don't like feeling "old," I'm only 24!

I feel like it's making some skeevy things even easier to find for young people (porn, the pro-ana stuff that was recently banned, the suicide embellishment, etc.) than they normally are on the rest of the internet.

I think I've randomly come across more porn in tumblr than I have anywhere else.
