I'm mostly ambivalent to tumblr, although it really sucks for communication/discussion, but my biggest complaint is people posting their WIPs there. Because unless they have an extensive and obvious tagging system I will never see it again, and any name changes will break all the links. I find making friends there a bit easier than on lj, and it's way less pressure.
